Upgrade Nightmare

I phoned Vodacom Direct for a upgrade to the Samsung Galaxy S3 for R249 a month. 2 days later a box was delivered, no phone, only a CD and Sim card. After phoning Vodacom 20 times and being transferred from department to department i was told the phone will be delievered the next week.

i phoned today, and after being bounced to 3 departments and being on the phone for 45mins I was told that the phone is not only out of stock, but the phone has been discontinued.

At what point were vodacom going to tell me this? How can you accept contracts for phones that are discontinued. When speaking to the consultant I was told the best he can do for me is to cancel the upgrade so I don't have to pay. Well I should think so! Why should I have to pay for a phone thats never been delivered?!! Then I asked him to please put me through to a supervisor or a manager so that I can put in a complaint, he asked me why do i need that, he has told me everything that I need to know. No one is going to tell me any different. When I insisted he told me no team leaders were on duty.

Vodacom is global company, how can they treat their customers this way. Unnecessary!
