Bogus external damage claim to shrug responsibilty

I booked in my brand new I phone 5 for repairs on 07/08/2013 after the phone refused to charge. When I booked it in there were no external damages and this was noted on my book in slip. After more than a month without a phone and various attempts to repair the device at various repair centres Vodacom sends me a mail stating my phone had external damage and it will cost me R4.5k to repair. I am highly disappointed as all my correspondence to Edward does not seem to warrant a response, even his superiors would not entertain my calls. Despite the inconvenience of not being able to use my phone I am also now paying for a subscription for something I don't have as well as forfeiting minutes due to the fact that I am using an alternate sim (the nano sim does not fit my spare phone). I am disgusted with the lack of sympathy from the repairs department as well as the blatant shrugging of responsibility. Why would a company try to make a quick buck out of loyal customer that spends R3k a month with them?

5th time recurring problem
