CHARGED FOR B.I.S 2 MONTHS AFTER CANCELLING

Early July:
On the 3rd of July, I requested for my B.I.S recurring service to be changed to non-recurring.
I had since done an upgrade and received a Samsung S3 Mini, (which doesn't support black berry services.

Mid July:
I went to my local Attlyn branch and requested Lebo Phokojoe to double check that the call centre had de-activated the recurring service, and she said they hadn't, but she could assist, and confirmed that she had cancelled the recurring service.
I was told that the recurring status had been changed to non-recurring, but I still got charged for it at the end of July (understandable because it was less than a month's notice).

Much to my surprise, a debit order went through at the end of August: contract fee AND for B.I.S!!
Yesterday I went to Cell C attlyn and spoke to the store manager (Peter). I explained my situation to him. Lebo was also there and she admitted that it might have been a system error as she remembers cancelling the recurring service in July.
Peter said I will be billed end Sep as well since he only deactivated the service yesterday.
Why am I paying for system errors?? Shouldn't I be refunded instead of being billed?
