Refusal to repair damage covered within warranty

I sent my Samsung Galaxy S2 smartphone in for repair on the 23rd of August. I was quoted for damage to my phone which I didn't want repaired. They refused to repair the fault I logged and quoted me R1644.40 for personal damage to the phone. According to the technician I spoke to before sending my phone in for repair, it was a fault of the LCD screen and it was not caused by personal mishandling of the phone. Nobody in the entire repairs department can tell me why they can't repair the fault I logged. I see this as really poor service and a clear breach of contract. Therefore I will not recommend Cell C to anybody again.
