Over 2 weeks ago I was contacted by Cell C Call Centre to ask if I would be interested in any of their specials. I was looking at getting a tablet for my son's birthday and decided to take the Google Nexus 7 on a data package. I was advised by Fananani that it was only few rands extra if i took a voice sim with the device as well which I agreed to. I received a sim card on 3 Sept and the device and other sim card arrived on 11 September WAYYYY over the promised 7 days. The Data sim card is a normal size when the device takes a micro sim card, the device itself cannot be used to make phone calls rendering the voice sim completely unnecessary! Why are Cell C offering me extra packages that I cannot even use? I have called the call centre to advise I want to cancel the voice sim and I require a micro data sim and have explained to various Cell C staff members that I do not want the voice contract but apparently the tablet is linked to that package and no one can give me a solution. Cancel the entire thing! I would rather do business with a company that has product knowledge and looks after their customers!
