I am one year into my current contract with Vodacom. My phone started giving me problems and I took it in for repairs. A month went by where it was sent back and forth between Durban and Johannesburg. They have apparently replaced my motherboard. But now they tell me the problem is with my battery (this after I had to take it back after the first repair and they said it wasn't my battery at all.) My phone still has exactly the same problem - which renders it useless. Now I have to buy a battery (because I apparently only had a 6 month warranty on my battery - paying for a two year contract...) that will cost me between R400-R500. I really feel unhappy about the fact that I will have to pay for this out of my own pocket, not even knowing IF that is the problem with my phone! I would really like feedback on this matter. If I miss one payment on my contract Vodacom will be on my like white on rice. So I do expect better assistance in this matter.
