Vodacom is incompetent and does not help costomers

I had two contracts with vodacom the one contract was overdue for an upgrade i never received any communication from vodacom regarding that and they continued to debit my account for a higher amount. The contract expired in 2012.On 9 August 2013 I did an upgrade on the second contract that was going to expire in 2013 October. Since the 9th of August I have been trying to cancel the old contract with no luck. When I call the call centre i am told to hold and it has been over 30 minutes, one day a consultant could not help me as their system was off line. I call the contract cancellation number almost everyday and do not get through to a consultant. I spoke to the to people in the customer care line and they cannot do anything about contracts, at a vodashop i was told to call the cancellations department as well. There is no email address or an alternative number that can be called to get help. looks like im going to pay this contract for life, did not know i was signing up for a life cover!!! irritated...
