On the 11/01/13 I got a call from an Afrizone agent (Siyanda), detailing that vodacom has decided to give me a FREE phone and a voucher as a result of my current contract. No mention of it being a contract was made during the agent's call, the agent just kept referring to my current contract. Only when the package was delivered did i discover that it was actually a contract phone, which I have subsequently tried to cancel. I have been informed by Afrizone that Vodacom supplied them with my personal details, and will debit me on their behalf for as long as they decide to take to come an collect their unwanted phone. I find it appalling and unethical that Vodacom has given itself powers to debit my for its service providers without my consent. I have tried to raise this issue through the Vodacom customer care channel (Ref EC-ZGIY-3CV22R and 0013Ja8F8V4V7GTF), but they have not bothered to provide any feedback whatsoever. I have requested the transcript of the call to validate the contents of the call, but Vodacom has decided to ignore my requests of reviewing the sales call and just activated the contract so they can debit me. I am totally dissappointed by this conduct!
