Cancellation Breach - No CPA compliance

According to the CPA regulations Cell C had to contact me between 40 and 80 days before my contract expired, they did not do that, and when I called in to enquire about cancellation on the 22nd of January 2013 I was told that my contract is being renewed automatically on the 31st of January 2013 on a month to month basis because I need to give a month's notice of cancelation.

THIS IS APPALING. I was prepared to swallow this, but today is the 25, I've just gotten off the phone with Cell C and was told that my cancellation has not been processed because I didnt send a cancellation letter. At NO point was I informed on the 22nd that I had to send a cancellation letter AND furthermore, the incompetent lady I spoke to on the 22nd told me that I would be contacted in 24 hours to complete cancellation. So now I have to wait for another callback because I apparently cannot speak to anyone in the retentions department. How convenient.

I will NOT pay for any services past the 31st of January - purely on principle. I will take this matter to the Consumer Commission - no more bullying from Cell C for yourself how corrupt we are.
