I called Vodacom in July to cancel my contract because I was paying too much, they advised me to migrate rather than cancelling. I made it clear that I don't want to pay more than R400, I was advised to take Top-Up 315 and i asked if I would be paying only that R315 nothing more, the answer was YES! To my shock I was billed for R315 plus R194 for handset.
Should I have known that they will still charge me for the handset I would have cancelled because I'm now paying more than what I wanted to pay. I called Vodacom and was told that the person who assisted me with the upgrade should have told me that I would still be paying for my handset. To make matters worse should I require to be migrated to a contract which is less (Top-Up 135) I have to pay over R1000
