My girlfriend and I took out a contract for her with Mtn, it is a 400 contract that included a Samsung Galaxy S4 smartphone. After a month of using the phone and she being very impressed that she has a S4 the phone stopped charging... After having initial trouble with Mtn with a sim swap and number port, she was initially with vodacom and it took two weeks for her to be able to port to the Mtn network, we were very reluctant to take the phone back for repairs. After three days of contemplating we eventually took the phone back for a warrenty assesment, as adviced by a consultant at Mtn Canal Walk, on the 29th of July and yet we still never got a response. We were first told that we had the wrong documentation, then we were told that Mtn branches and Mtn direct use a different system for logging phones and repair work and cannot communicate with each other, they are both Mtn but the cannot work together... I am currently offshore and called to Mtn on Monday to follow up and was told that an email will be sent to the Tygervalley branch and my girlfriend will be contacted shortly there after and still no contact has been made. We both are really frustrated with this service.
