PHONE LINE THAT DOES NOT WORK FOR OVER A WEEK

I took out a contract a week ago then had my current prepaid number converted to contract then put onto a micro-sim. i was told by Mtn that this process would take from 2 to 24 hours to be active. i waited. after 24 hrs i called Mtn who told me that the number is active on the network and i should simply remove the sim and reboot. i had done that over 10 times in 2 days back and forth on the line with customer service. i was then finally told that the problem could be the sim itself and i should take it to a Mtn store for replacement which i did. at the store i was advised that if i wanted to swop that sim would cost me R140. I refused this as the problematic sim came from Mtn. The fault was then logged with Mtn and i was told that the technical dept could solve the problem. a week later i am still sitting wit a defective sim and no assistance from Mtn. i called Mtn over 5 times today the 27/08/2013 and still no help. i was told to speak to the sales person himself but trying to get through to him in a call centre is like finding a needle in a haystack. i feel this service is pathetic on mtn side. my number which is a business line is out of service for over a week. UNACCEPTBLE.
