I have a top up contract with vodacom topping up frequently. I keep receiving sms's for their promotions with latest one being the following: Everyday Extra gives you 300 mins to use over the next 10 days between 16:00 & 18:59.Dial *111# & choose Promotions to redeem @ R15 before midnight tomorrow. When I tried making use of this get told I am not a prepaid customer and do not qualify, what other than a pre paid customer is a top-up customer, we pay the same rates etc. than everyone else but are excluded from benefits like these. Why do I then receive these sms's, this is false advertising and misleadig of the public. Ive had only issues with vodacom recently and will be moving my contract to a competitor. Stop sending your customers sms's that is not valid. Vodacom must be the worst cellphone network SA has got.
