On opening our new data card account with vodacom Sandton we were told that it would be the same Top-Up account that we currently have. THIS WAS A LIE. In the beginning of January 2013 we recieved (for the first time) notification of a R4500 bill. Upon asking for an explaination from the branch they stated "oh, you must not have a top-up account", like that was completely fine. Like they weren't supposed to inform us that the account was not what we thought we had opened. Like we were just supposed to know, how silly of us to believe the sales people. We payed half the bill there and then and were told that we can pay the rest at the end of the month. THIS WAS A TOO. Now I sit without a cell, not at the end of the month because seemingly Vodacom could not be bothered about their customers. I am horribly disgruntled, surely this is against the Consumer Protection Act?
