Vey rude. misinformed about warranty

I had an issue in January where my motherboard on my galaxy S2 was replaced under warranty. so in June i decided that due to me not working anymore I would not renew my contract. I proceeded with contacting the call centre to explain my situation. during this time between June and July I began experiencing a similar problem with my phone. call centre agents assured me that i"m still under warranty as my contract was still active. so due to ramadaan and a range of commitments i could not get my phone repaired last month. I was assured by Toufiq from retentions that my warranty ends when my contract ends on the 20th Aug 2013. so now I sent my phone in to be repaired by smartlab and they say the motherboard needs to be replaced again. i dont see how a motherboard could "die" in 6 months but i'm not a technician. nevertheless, i then proceeded with trying to claim from the warranty and now MTN says my contract ended on the 29th July and not the 20th August which means the call centre agent gave me the wrong info. Now they say the guy didn't give me the wrong info and its "not their problem"..
