Mtn: BEST at being WORST service provide

Telecommunications

This is a follow-up to a query lodged on MTN's online customer service site (ref: 103016362). After I logged this query, I got pop-up saying I will get a response from MTN within 48 hours, and this was after Brenda promised to email me migration forms "in a short while".
My gripe is these people's initial insistence that I will not be able to migrate to a package that is more suitable to my needs, and this is based on me being on a "PROMO" package which everyone I interacted with at MTN prior to my upgrade chose to overlook to inform me about.
The retentions lady who called me on the day of my upgrade even had the nerve of saying "it's your luck day because the subscription will be lowered by R30 from the initial fee, forgetting to inform me about this being some PROMO I would not be able to migrate from when the need arises.
The sales lady from the branch where I signed up for the upgrade, informed me with confidence that I will be able to any package I deem fit, without any restrictions. I even mentioned my discomfort of taking up an open contract, but she re-assured me I could move to TOP-UP when necessary.

All this became a fallacy once I got hooked into a 24 month contract
