Unhappy BlackBerry Z10 speaker repairs

My BlackBerry Z10 started with speaker problems not even 3 months old. I took it to my local vodacom shop where they send it to Vodacom Repair Polokwane on 30/07/2013 . Today 15/08/2013 the local voda shop contacted me with a repair quotation of R4136.00 and a technician payment of R75.00 if quotation is declined. While speaking to Polokwane Branch they said because of physical damage and scratches to the cover the warranty expires immediately. With all the BlackBerry's i had and send for repairs to Nelspruit branch they never had any complains about physical damage or scratches, they either repaired pr replaced the pone without additional payments. Why now suddenly?
