Cell C
Two weeks of inconvenience with no solution

Telecommunications

In March I took out a cellphone contract with Cell C. After about a month of enjoying my new Samsung S3, it stopped charging. It would charge up to 70% and no more. I found this unacceptable for a new phone, and I took it in. The guy who helped me, took out the battery to be sent for tests/repairs, giving the phone back to me. This was inconvenient for me, as the micro sim card would not fit in my old phone, and I was not prepared to pay R200 for a new battery in the meantime. I had to use my old number for a bit, and I asked Cell C to contact me on my old number when my battery was back. They did not contact me, and I had to go in every few days to see whether my battery was back. Eventually I got it back after two weeks, and was told that there was absolutely nothing wrong with it, yet when i took it home it gave me the same problem as before. I did not take it back immediately, because I could not do without my phone for another 2 weeks! One day I used my boyfriend's Samsung charger to charge my phone, and it charged fully. I realised it was my charger that was the problem. To save myself the hassle of being without my phone for another 2 weeks, I just got myself a new charger.
