False promises & poor customer service

I called Cell C on Tuesday 08/01/2013 to apply for a new contract. We went through the telephonic application & it was confirmed that I qualified & that my application was approved. I was told that my phone would be delivered between 10-12 working days & that I can follow up on progress of delivery at any time. Well, I have tried to do this twice & I've been told that they are still waiting for stock (on both occassions which were a week apart from each other). Surely the sales agent should've been in contact with me over the past 2 weeks to update me on the stock issue and to give me some sort of reassurance that Cell C actually cares? When I've asked about a date when stock would be arriving I was told "it should arrive next week" OR "I don't know" OR "I mustn't be upset because people who applied in Dec '12, are also still waiting". Is this really how you respond to your customers? Should Cell C not have done some homework over the past few weeks to find out from Apple where their stock is? The only response I get is 'we don't know, we don't know' ... Well, I suggest that someone at Cell C makes an actual effort to find out!! VERY POOR customer service & customer delive
