Telkom
The whole advertising and sales pitch is a hoax

Telecommunications

Telkom phoned us trying to sell us a special they had running on capped ADSL but they made it sound so inviting that we later decided to upgrade to a 2mbps uncapped ADSL advertised for R616.00 per month including free Telkom to Telkom calls in call more time.

After struggling to obtain a modem, having limited capability to dial certain landline number we were eventually up and running following no less that a dozen calls to sort admin stuff out and getting the products to actually work.

After less than one month I received my first account via email-A heart stopping R1, 382.85 and this while the only variable which is our call charges amounted to R2.87. How the heck does this make sense. How can the charge be more than double if the full usage didn't even reach a full month.

The quote on the internet also looks allot simpler that the actual invoice which has no less that 11 line items excluding the R2, 87 call charges. This is not only false advertising but appalling to say the least. If it made sense yes but this is unacceptable!

Why ruin someone's day by being so inconsistent? The quote sais R616.00-Is it to much to ask to merely stick to your online add. We're not paying this!
