New Contract - New Defective Phone - Won't Replace

On the 23rd of July, late afternoon, my husband picked up his new cell phone upgrade. It was a Sony Xperia Go.
I had noticed that on the screen was a white dot as if one of the led lights had popped, this is very distracting when using the phone.
On the 26th of July I went back to Cell C complaining about this problem I had. A lady took my phone to the back of the store where a technician was present.
After the technician had inspected the phone, he agreed there was a problem with the phone. I was told they would send the phone to Jhb and evaluate the problem further. I must wait 7 working days to hear the verdict of my phone.
By the 9th of August after numerous calls and absolutely no customer service whatsoever I went to the store in person wanting to find out about the phone.By this time 11 working days had passed and still no outcome.
All I got was sorry we will have feedback by Monday the 12th.
Monday had approached and by mid morning had heard nothing. Once again after making numerous calls we were told We must wait until Tuesday and we would get an answer.
They found nothing wrong with phone and won't release us from contract. Very unhappy
