Autopage in breach of Consumer Protection Act

I have received the most unprofessional & unhelpful service from Altech Autopage ("Autopage") Benmore, the Cancellations Department of Autopage & the Business Channel Department of Autopage. On 5 August 2013, I took my phone into the Benmore store for it to be repaired under insurance. Apart from the shocking service received at this branch, my phone was sent in to be assessed without the store making any effort to back up my data on the phone. I have, to date, received no feedback whatsoever in regard to the repair or replacement of my phone.
In light of the appalling sevice received from Autopage, I have decided to terminate my contract with them. Upon phoning their Customer Service Department, I was informed that I would be charged over R7000 to cancel the contract - being the amount owing in respect of service charges for the remainder of the contract. As an attorney, I know that this penalty is in contravention of the Consumer Protection Act No.68 of 2008, as well as the Judgments of the National Consumer Tribunal. I will approach Carte Blanche & every media outlet in the country to inform them of Altech Autopage's breach of legislation & abuse of the general public.
