MTN can not solve porting/migrating problem!

I recently took out a contract with MTN. I had an existing contract with Autopage Cellular for the number 0836025119. The inbound sales agent Kgosi Moila informed me that I will be able to port/migrate my existing number with my new contract. He instructed me to as Autopage to transfer the number to a prepaid number. Kgosi then said that he will migrate my number to the sim card I received with the new phone on contract and all will be sorted in 24 hours. It is now 2 weeks later and I can still not use the new phone, but I have to pay for the contract. Kgosi has since promised to escalate the problem and get back to me, but I still have to call repeatedly to ask what is going on. He has informed me last week that I must now rather phone the MTN customer service line. I find this unacceptable and demand an immediate response to solve this problem or I will escalate the matter to the relevant national governing bodies.
