Refusing to cancell my contract after porting

Autopage assured me they will cancel my contract as I have ported my number to Vodacom directly. Today I received an sms to tell me the contract will only be stopped in April! This is totally unacceptable as my contract period ended Dec 2013. They seem unwilling or unable to solve the problem despite numerous phone calls to customer services, porting and the billing department.
