My vodacom prepaid blackberry was on Sunday. I decided to change to iPhone on contract. I wanted the same number to be kept. In other words, a sim swap. I sat at Cresta Vodacom Repairs - Alisom Communications - on Monday and provided all documentation. I was assured everything would be up and running after 24 hours. I gave it extra time in case. On Wednesday still no service. I went in again. My application had never been processed. They assured me I would be up and running in 2 hours. I waited 2 hours and received my SMS stating that my sim was active. Problem was - completely new number. I went back again today and sat down until it was sorted. They had to give me a new sim for some reason. They assured me the phone would be activated well after the shop is closed. My phone is active - with my old prepaid account and not the contract I paid for. Apparently I need to activate it myself. I contacted the store again and they said they would activate but it's not active. For some reason my wife's cell receives my data bundle updates. I am exhausted with vodacom or Alisom communications. Give me a reason to continue with this epic exercise in futility.
