I moved from Vodacom to MTN on 1st April 2013 through recommendations, and this has been the worse decision I ever made. Not only is the billing messed up, but their management is uncontactable and believe they should not be talking to customers, and customers are not important in their lives.

My cellphone is on roaming and I spent 3 weeks in June /July in USA . When I got back i received my itemised bill, which I pay for, with 68 SMS charges for SMS's sent by MTN to me. When I queried this with MTN they advised they would sent a query to the billing department. After 2 weeks and numerous calls to their customer service I received a call from their local MTN department advising that the bill is correct and that I have to pay for these SMS's and they are NOT prepared to discuss this matter further.

I am ever sorry i took a contract with MTN, and I believe the billing charges should be investigated by the Consumer Protection Commission.
