My last futile attempt to sort my number out

Picture this, I have had a long standing complaint regarding my contract with Vodacom regarding my cancellation date and unknown sms charges going off my account, following this I decided to change service providers. I therefore requested cancellation of such contract as of end July 2013 which I confirmed on four seperate occasions given the past dealings with Vodacom.
On the 2/08/2013 the new service provider requested the porting of my number which they did but was unsuccessful as Vodacom had not released my number, upon my query I was told that I was handed to Pre-Legal for an amount of R49.11 for balance due. I made the payment immediately and was told I could port.
Again I couldn't, after talking to customer care, pre-legal and cancellations who all have a different story and state my number is deleted and the other says it is on pre-paid. I cannot load airtime but yet can call any number, I cannot port my number still. Everyone at Vodacom do not understand how my number can be deleted / pre-paid and I am able to make calls. I am out of contract and will NOT be held liable for any calls, oh I was also told that to resolve I must pay for a SIM swop!!!
