Vodacom
Cancellation and pickup of goods

Telecommunications

On 20 July 2013 I cancelled (within the 14 days grace period) my data contract at Vodacom. They notified me that the pickup of the wifi router and sim card by RAM couriers will take 7-14 business days. On 27 July 2013, after no pickup of the goods yet, I phoned Vodacom's help centre and being put through to 4 different people, I eventually mailed eShopsupport at Vodacom to kindly tell them that the items are at the same address as delivery and that it can be collected there since I'm travelling often for work puroses. The reply on 01 August 2013 was that RAM will contact me soon to collect the items. At 6 August they have still not contacted me and eShopsupport have now "escalated the query to Ram's manager".

Vodacom also insists that I pay for the contract for August as they have not yet received the returned items from their courier. This almost 3 weeks after I've cancelled the contract and in a new calendar month. Irony is, my wife who is working at the same place as my office where the items have been for more than 2 weeks, have received via Vodacom Direct her phone delivered by RAM on 22 July 2013. Why could they not then collect the cancelled contract's items?
