R4 500 roaming costs - T&C's & Costs not explained

Returned from abroad last month and sitting with a R4 500 bill which I simply cannot afford!!! Consultant did not explain T&C's and roaming charges and I was made to believe that I will only pay 89c a minute if activating the "promotion" on my smart standard package. Was only informed after that this only applies if you are dialling out from SA!!! Been trying to sort this out for over a month telephonically but to no prevail. I have to keep phoning in and following up as the sell off line "we will get back to you" just seems to be a way to delay the process further. Seems that no one really knows what is going on as I have now already spoken to more than 5 consultants!

Been a loyal customer for over 10 years and have generally been very satisfied with Vodacom's service (despite many of my contacts complaining about the service they receive), but seems that there is no proper management within the company anymore.

Hoping that I will be able to get this sorted by today. If this is not the case then I will be changing service providers and hopefully find a company that is better managed and more customer focused.

Not impressed at all how this query has been handled!
