Why offer it if no one can use it!

Telkom 8TA has a add-on of 10240Mb offered on their prepaid 60Gb 60Gb data package.

But to use this bonus data at their wifi hotspots you need to register the MAC address of your laptop or device on your web profile. But because it is a pay as you go profile the link to where you enter your MAC address doesn't show on your web profile page and there is no other way to register a device so that you can use it at these hotspots.
So my question is why offer it at all. I have waisted hours trying to figure out how to use it as it has taken them two months to get back to me after my support request. I am already onto my third package and still have not been able to use the bonus data which times out if not used by a certain date.

Why offer the bonus at all, if it can't be used? This is not just a case of false advertising it is also a big time waister and my time has value!
I finally got a support response today from a pleasant fellow who was very apologetic but none the less unable to solve the problem as it has already been escalated into the black hole of the powers that be a while back. But at least I can now stop waisting my time attempting to use the add-on wifi data.
