I went into the MTN Musgrave store on Wed (24/07) to open another cellphone contract, only to initially be told by the store manager who was assisting me that i could not have the phone immediately because according to his system I had been blacklisted, I was mortified, his advice was to go to [URL Removed] and that it would probably take 3 days for MTN to verify my financial status. Both my current MTN accounts are paid by debit order, I was asked at least 3 times if I was sure that I had not missed a payment. On Thurs I was called to say that all was good and I could pick up the phone which I did, by Fri (24hrs) later the phone was still not activated on the network. I called the call centre about 5 times and was told that it would be done and that the matter had been escalated.By Sat, there was still no activation, so I again called Musgrave, who after their investigation, informed me that "they were not going to lie, but my contract was an absolute mess", it had been captured incorrectly and I would unfortunately not be connected till Monday! It appears that all staff that do activations do not work on weekends, what pathetic service. Pity HP gives you limited space!
