Mtn
5 days without a working cell phone

Telecommunications

On the 6th of June I went to MTN in Cavendish to ask them to terminate my contract (which had in fact expired in 2011 without anyone notifying me) as I wanted to port over to Cell C as their rates are so much cheaper. I had to fill out forms which included the reason for termination (i.e. to port my number over to another network). I was told it would take a month, and due to certain delays my contract was finally terminated on Sunday 21st July. On Monday 22nd July, I went to Cell C to be connected only to find out that MTN should not have terminated my contract but should rather have swapped me over to prepaid so that I could port my number over. I went back to MTN and spoke to Funda-Lunga who promised to sort it all out. Once again forms had to be filled in and signed and Funda appeared to be doing this (I have email correspondence from him). Well, on Wednesday I still had no usable cell phone, and went back to MTN only to find that Funda was on leave for the day but Kashiv promised to help me sort this all out. Since he would not be able to contact me via cell phone, he promised to contact me on my two email addresses (work and home). I did not hear a word from him. Please help
