Contract sold over the telephone

In march 2013 a gentleman called me on my mtn number selling a contract over the telephone of a 2GB for the value of R 199. after a long conversation with this gentleman, i mentioned to him that i previously had autopage sell me a contract and it turned sour. i mentioned to him clearly that i was not willing to pay more then what he was offering. i questioned him on the case if i was to exceed the 2 GB, he reassured me that if i dont use my ipad as often then i would not have to worry. i was biiled for that month R 189 there after had amount of R 2500 debited from my account. when i queried at i was told that it was an open line. they demanded the full amount. i spoke to a superioir, i asked him to listen to the recorded conversation- which he did and returned my call by saying that the sales consultant mentioned the open line at the end of the convesation and that i hd to call cell c call and limit this contract to R 199/ 2GB.
so i had my bank cease cell c access to fund in my account and asked my lawyers to investigate. after 2 months of not using data today 22/07/13 i got a call that my account had an outstanding amount of R 5549 rands!!! how amazing is this network...
