1st Balance says 4.6mb left, 2nd says 1.4mb left

I bought a 10 Mb data bundle 2 days ago. I only use the data on Watsapp. I regularly check my balance and this morning was shocked to what happened. I had 9.6 Mb, then i downloaded a 5 Mb voice note. When i checked my balance the 1st time it said 4.6 Mb left. I rechecked it straight away and this time it said i have 1.4 Mb left. I checked it once more and it still said 1.4 Mb left. I don't understand how 4.6 Mb can just drop to 1.4 Mb without doing any Internet activity.!!!
