Please replace handset!!!

My father, mother & sister obtained new contracts on 20/01/2013 for a BB 9320. On 24/01/13, while en-route by bus from Dbn to Jhb, my father called us to say he is halfway. When he arrived in Jhb, the phone was off. He thought the battery was flat. When he eventually switched it on, it was a plain white screen.

On 26/01/13 (within 7 days) he took it back & was informed that the screen cracked due to him dropping his phone OR his keys scratched it. There was no sign of external damage. They booked the phone in for repairs. After a few days, he was informed that the LCD needed to be replaced & the charge therefor is R1800.00, which he obviously refused to pay, since it was a new phone.

On 19/06/13 I called the store & was told that the handset will be requested from the service centre. On 21/06/13 I called again & was told that the handset was not back as yet & that they will call me as soon as it arrives. Up until today (19/07/13), there's no response. I called again today & had to explain once more. The handset has still not arrived, because it was never requested!!!

On all 3 occasions, the store manager was not available. A replacement handset is all that we request!
