I would just like some insight on the situation

Telecommunications

My husband's brother took the phone out on contract, it was a Blackberry 9320. The contract started on the 24th of December 2012. He gave the phone to me as he was only planning to use the sim card. About two months ago the phone started to give problems, it said "battery too low for radio use" even though my battery was fully charged. (We did replace the battery with a new one) And recently it wouldn't go on if i don't connect it to a charger. We took the phone in to the repair shop, the phone was then sent to the Advance Repair Centre where it was assessed. According to my knowledge the phone has a two year warranty and should be repaired/ replaced if it can not be repaired. We received an sms for a quotation on the "repair"... it was for R1710.00. When i enquired about the repair, the lady at the Potchefstroom Repair Centre said it was because of Liquid Damage and it could be caused by sweat water or anything of that kind. I am not happy with that, i handled the phone with care and it never came near any water..so i just want to know how idealistic it is to say that sweat also causes the damage. I am not happy..the phone is still new and i want some realistic service from you.
