My elderly parents moved into a retirement village on the 3 June. Being proactive they contacted TELKOM call centre mid May to request a transfer of their telkom line and number to the new address, they were issuesd with a reference number. They followed up mid June, just to be told that the request has been canceled - with no explaination on why. I took over the issues as it is very difficult for my parents to cope with this.
I logged a new request and received a reference number, I followed up at least 3 times and were told on Monday that the request is now 'feasable' and that it has been send to the technical department that will call my mother on the 12 June so that they can come and install the line.
I called this monrning AGAIN... to be told that they do not know about the line being installed today. 'it is not on the system' what else can I do to get this done???!! There is only a elcalation process on their site, but that will prabably take even longer.
I have asked the conatact centre agent to please follow up and she took my number, I have NO trust in them that they will be coming back to me.
Please HELP!!
