No response for cancellation of a line

To cancel our residential Telkom line and ADSL (011-469-3338) as of 16 December,
we have sent a 'letter of request for cancellation' to [Email Removed] on 7 November.

When we called Telkom on 10210 to confirm if the request had been received,
the lady at the Cancellation department said that she could not give me any confirmation nor a reference number.
Then I tried to call Telkom for the past two days. I called 10210 and then chose option #4, which is for cancellation. But NO ONE answered! I was literally holding the phone for at least 20 minutes, each time I called the call centre. Yesterday alone, I called for 11 times, but no answer.

My only concern is that when December comes and we expect the line to be cancelled, Telkom tells us that we never made such request. This fear is not random, as I have the same experience a few years ago. We went through so much hassles.

Please confirm that you have received our letter (requesting cancellation) and provide us with a reference number so we can be rest assured. So when December comes, we won't to hear from Telkom that our line cannot be cancelled. I expect to hear from Telkom as soon as possible. Thank you
