My wife had 2 contracts with Vodacom a Phone line and a Data line. The data line was cancelled in May/June 2012 when the contract expired. We however was still being billed for this contract at R149 per month, When trying to convert the phone contract i came across this overcharge. I contacted Vodacom they did confirm this cancellation in May/June 2012 as per voice recordings but said that vodacom cancellations did not capture this cancellation. They subsequently cancelled the data contract in June 2013 and changed it to prepaid so i will not be billed anymore for this, i received a Ref No. as they were going to look into my overcharge and get back to me in 48 hours. They did not. I phoned Vodacom cancellations a week later 10/07/2013 to find out what progress has been made with my query. The lady on the line was a total twit and i had to explain everything again despite having a Ref No. The twit told me that she does not pick up the first cancellation made in May/June 2012 and only picks up my recent cancellation. I told her to go back and check my usage of data from 2012 and she says she cannot because it is now prepaid. A is it not Vodacom just Ripped me of for /- R1800.
