Finally got tired of putting up with poor data transfer and dropped calls with Vodacom. Sent an e-mail to customer care to cancel my contract and for details on how to migrate to CellC. Immediately got reply requesting some information to "verify" the e-mail. Fair enough. Sent information, then nothing. No confirmation of receipt, no get back at all. In other countries they fine mobile network providers meaningful sums of money for not maintaining minimum standards of connectivity, service etc. Why not here?

Comparing the Vodacom website and the Cell C website is chalk and cheese. Vodacom is all about selling you a new handset and very little help if you want to actually get information. Cell C is user-friendly and aimed at helping you. Shows just where Vodacom's focus.

Anyway, just substantiates my decision to leave Vodacom for good.
