PAYING FOR SERVICE BUT IT IS NOT WORKING

I applied for new ADSL 4MB Lines from Telkom for my new office and had this installed in June to ensure that when we move into our offices, we have data access for our VoIP and Internet.

We moved into our offices on 1 July 2013. The ADSL lines have been a problem from day one. The line speed drops to below 10KB and reaches a maximum of 100KB. I have complained to Telkom on a daily basis with the ADSL support team promising that someone is looking into this.

My company is dependent on these ADSL lines to service our clients. We have lost 24% of our business in just one week because we could not do any maintenance on our clients websites.

At this rate, my company could lose all of its business and close. Over 50 staff will lose their jobs and Telkom does not care.

I am paying for a service that does not work. If I don't pay for the lines, Telkom cuts the lines?

I have received confirmation that the exchange for the Rivonia area where my office is located cannot handle the capacity of users accessing it and that this exchange is scheduled for an upgrade with no confirmed dates.

Why does Telkom sell a service knowing that they cannot deliver? Surely this is illegal???
