How is this possible?

I have divorced my now ex-husband and he managed to upgrade his cellphone contract that is/was original taken out on my name. I would like to know how this is possible when I was not with him at the time. When I phoned to query the transaction, I was told by Werner very rudely, " Do I want the contract to be removed from my name? " I have a major problem with this whole experience, how was my ex-husband able to upgrade a contract that is not on his name, how was the contract transferred to "his name" with out me signing any forms and the consultant that I spoke to, should not be in the service industry if he is going to speak to concerned clients that are questioning a transaction that in my opinion, constitutes, in a very rude way. I have forwarded an affidavit to the department of Vodacom but I would appreciate somebody that is in a high enough position to explain to me how these issues happened and what is going to be done to prevent this happening again and what recourse do I have?
