Charger for un delivered phone

I have upgraded my contract telephone when MTN called me in May, they failed to delivered the phone, but charged me for the upgrade in for the end of June.

Now MTN wants me to prove that I have not received the phone because the do not believe that I did not receive the phone.

I asked them to get proof of delivery so that prove that i received the phone,
They suggested me that i should go to the store and proof that I did not receive the phone.

I would not go to the shop, they are the one at fault and they are the one that need to provide proof that i received the phone since they have documents.

I asked to discuss this issue with his manager, however his manager was busy with another call but promised that he will call me after the call. I'm still waiting for the call.

It makes one angry that I have being with MTN for more than 4 years and never missed a payment for all my contracts but they think I would about not receiving the phone.

I cost me money that they wont pay calling them and following all this.
