My 8ta Contract was due to end during May 2013 for contract number 0814709312. I contacted the 8ta call centre during April 2013 to ask that the contract be terminated and the number to be put onto pre-paid. I was told by the consultant that everything was in order and it would be cancelled, and that I would be contacted by a retentions person to confirm. I was contacted by a retentions person and he confirmed that my contract would be cancelled in May 2013. 2 months later, now being July 2013 and my contract is still active, which means I have been charged for an additional 2 months now, till who knows when??? This to me seems like 8ta's way of holding on to customers which is really pathetic. What kind of service is this. I have now on Saturday, 06 July 2013 gone into the 8ta sore at Sandton City and filled in an official cancellation form, but as can be expected, nothing has been done as yet?? Must i now go to the press in the matter and make the public aware that 8ta is a rip off?
