I forwarded Cell C instructions to terminate my data service on 30 November 2012, providing them with 30 days notice. The last deduction should have been 31 December. They cancelled my account on their system some 2 weeks after my request resulting in them wanting payment for pro-rata January as well. Coincidentally I changed my bank account in January and the Cell C debit order for pro-rata January was returned. As there should not have been a debit, I did not concern myself until I found out that my account is at the PRE-LEGAL department. Whilst trying to resolve this issue I have been appalled with the way I have been treated. For an amount of less than R 100, I must have spent in excess of R 1000 trying to resolve this "principal" issue. It is clear that it will not be resolved and I am more than happy to pay what you believe to be outstanding on my account provided I never have to do business with Cell C again.
