I signed a new contract last week and collected my new Samsung Galaxy S4 on Thursday. For 3 days I was not able to access any data. I called 183 about seven times. Each person told me to change a different setting on the phone, which never worked. i even tried liaising with Rika at the store in JBay, she told me to do all the things I had done and never worked. eventually on Saturday I went to the store. Rika and the other gentleman working in the store were eager to assist however their lack of technical knowledge is unacceptable. I eventually got hold of Paul (183) who insisted that the problem was that the data bundle attached to my contract was Telkom 3G which is not available in our area and that I need All Access Data in order to roam to mtn... Told Rika, she could not change it immediately on the computer so now we wait again... still no data access... til Monday apparently...
So a big thumbs up to Abdul and Paul at the call centre but a big thumbs down to everyone else... if this is how a contractual agreement starts I shudder to think of what the future will bring.
