Incorrect info and terrible service

I requested a transfer of my prepaid landline on 7 January and spoke to Esmarie who failed to update my cell number, advised me incorrectly that the transfer is free (even though I advised her that it is a prepaid line) and gave me an incorrect reference number. She furthermore said that the transfer will take place within a week or so.
I phoned a second time to check on the progress and was advised again that it is free and in process. This time I was advised that it will take 7 to 14 working days.
When I phoned a third time on 17 Jan, I was told the order is on hold as I need to pay R318. I then paid that on 18 Jan and phoned again today (21 Jan) to check with regard to the progress. Today I was told that it will be another 21 working days before I have a working phone! I am frustrated and don't know who to believe anymore, because I get a different story each time I phone and there is no communication from Telkom's side. How much more must I endure before having a working landline? This customer service is not service at all.
