Both my mother and I cancelled our iBurst contracts, we were then called by retentions department to buy back our modems as this is a current promotion they are running. We were informed the process is simple, take in your modem, they test it and if all in working condition you would be paid R400 per modem 3-5 working days later. I went to hand in the two modems at the Rivonia Branch and was provided a reference number for follow up. They tested the modems on site and confirmed all was in working condition though they would be sent to retentions department for checking and we would be contacted within a week with response to when we could expect payment. Two weeks later we called to follow up and were informed iBurst would return our call within 48 hours with feedback. Two weeks later I call again and now am informed there is nothing assigned to the reference number... therefore meaning they don't even have reference that we handed in the modems. I have informed them this is and would like feedback to which I have yet to have any response.
