Account Debits

I took a contract with MTN in 2011 I gave my bank details and all but I kept my prepaid sim card in. All of a sudden I receive a letter from a lawyer saying that I bridged a contract and owe R5999.89. I was so surprised cause I signed for a debit order and my account has been debited a couple of times by mtn with no warning or notification I all of a sudden receive a letter from the lawyers that's. I really like MTN but this is total.
