Don't keep promises

My husband has an account with Teljoy. For 3 months he did not pay his account because of financial difficulties. we never once received any statements from Teljoy. All of a sudden Teljoy's lawyers phoned and said they are coming to collect the goods, I said but you cannot cause we did not even received any letter from Teljoy or from the lawyers stating that the account is overdue if not paying a certain amount we will come and collect. The lawyer was very rude. So I phoned Teljoy and spoke to Malathy and she said we must pay R600 and then we can arrange for the other amount that is in arrears to pay it off. I paid R500 and then they cried over R100. Now I received an email from Frieda stating that I must pay R550 before 26 September. How can they say one thing and all of a sudden sing a different story? You are trying to explain to them but no they do not have any sympathy.By law they should have send us a letter and they never did. They just do not care.
